Depop l’app che SVOLTA!

Oggi vi parlo un’app che ho scoperto da poco e che trovo semplicemente fantastica.

L’app, ad ora è solo per Iphone, ma sicuramente presto arriverà anche per Android e si chiama Depop.

I creatori di questa app sono italiani! Che onore!! Prima la app si chiamava “Garage me” ora il nome è stato cambiato in Depop: sul sito ufficiale ho scoperto che questo nome proviene dalla fusione delle parole “depot”, un’altra parola francese che, come Garage, indica un posto e “pop” da popular.

Quante di voi hanno armadi colmi di cose che utilizzate poco o niente, che non sapete se vi piacciono o no, regali poco riusciti o eredità inutilizzate di nonne, mamme e parentame vario?

Il problema è che una volta uscite di casa lo shopping non manca mai perché quel vestito, quella scarpa o quell’accessorio proprio ci manca, proprio lo vogliamo..proprio deve essere nostro… e l’armadio continua a riempirsi…

Sicuramente, almeno una volta tutte abbiamo pensato a:  

• Buttare via tutto;
• Regalare qualcosa ad amici e parenti;
• Riempire i cassonetti della Caritas;
• Riempire scatoloni e nasconderli in soffitta, in cantina o sotto il letto.

Bene questa app risolve in qualche modo il problema. In che modo?

Semplicemente ci si iscrive con la propria mail, si sceglie un ID ed una password ed il gioco è fatto.

Si tirano fuori le cose che non ci piacciono o che non vogliamo più, si fotografano, si descrivono  e si condividono. Il gioco è fatto!

Si può scegliere se vendere o se scambiare, nel gergo “swappare”, in quello che diventa un piccolo “armadio social network”.

Gli altri utenti vedono le foto e scelgono se “seguire” il tuo armadio virtuale o no, la stessa cosa la facciamo noi. Più utenti ti seguono più si ha la possibilità di vendere e scambiare.

L’acquisto può essere fatto in sicurezza tramite PayPal con cui si ha il collegamento diretto dalla app per effettuare un acquisto o una vendita diretta, scegliendo di spedire o farsi spedire l’oggetto; altrimenti per gli utenti che sono nella stessa zona c’è la possibilità di incontrarsi di persona. Gli accordi e le informazioni tra venditore ed acquirente vengono scambiati tramite una piccola e utilissima chat.

Io la trovo fantastica… soprattutto in questo periodo di crisi le azioni per farci risparmiare un pochetto sono molto apprezzate, per lo più tra noi giovani attanagliati da questa società disagiata..quindi via libera allo scambio o alla vendita a costo ridotto.

Alla fine quante volte capita di comprare scarpe, borse o vestiti pensando che ci piacciano alla follia per poi metterli qualche volta e capire che non fanno per noi o non ci piacciono indossati, ci fanno male (..vedi ad esempio scarpe strabelle in vetrina e ai nostri piedi finchè non ci si cammina?)e se poi queste cose invece andassero bene e piacessero ad un’altra persona?

Questo è il concetto alla base di questa app.

La cosa carina è anche la possibilità di cercare un capo, un accessorio, un paio di scarpe che non siamo riuscite a trovare o tutte quelle cosine ricercate e vintage che non si trovano proprio da tutte le parti.

Today I tell you about an app that I discovered recently and that’s fantastic.

The app, now is only for Iphone, but will come soon for Android and it’s called Depop.

The creators of this app are Italian! What an honor! Before the app was called "Garage me" now the name has been changed to Depop: on the official website I discovered that this name comes from the words "depot", another French word, such as Garage, indicates a place and "pop" from the word popular.

How many of you have closets full of things that used little or nothing, that you don’t know if you like or not, gifts or unused inheritances from grandmothers, mothers etc..?

The problem is that when you leave home and go out, the shopping never fails because you miss that dress, or that accessory or that shoes, you just want it but your closet is completely filled of things.

Surely, you thought:

• Throw all away;

• Give something to friends and family;

• Fill the bins for poor people; 

• Fill boxes and hide them in the attic, in the basement or under the bed.

Well this app somehow solves the problem. In what way?

Simply you sign up with your email, you choose an ID and password, and you're done.

You could pull off the things that you don’t like or do not want more, photograph and describe them and share. And you're done!

You can choose whether to sell or swap them in what that becomes a small "social network closet".

Other users will see the photos and choose whether to "follow" your virtual closet or not, and you could decide to make the same thing. More follower you have more you could sell or swap your things.

The purchase can be made securely via PayPal with a direct connection from the app to make a purchase or a direct sale, choosing to pack off  the item, otherwise for users who are in the same area there is the opportunity to meet them. Agreements and information between buyer and seller are exchanged through a small and very useful chat.

I love it ... especially in this time of  economic crisis, these actions to make saving is greatly appreciated.

At the end how many times happen to buy shoes, bags or clothes thinking that we like and then use some time and understand that there’re not for us or we do not like or they hurt us (.. see for example that beautiful shoes in the window but at your feet are very unconfortable?) and then if these things fitted better to someone else and someone else like them?

This is the concept behind this app.

The nice thing is the ability to search for an item, an accessory, a pair of shoes that we are not able to find and all those little things that we don’t found everywhere.
